Annotated Bibliography

Visual
"This Painting Is What One Artist Thinks of Senate Shooting Down Gun Control Bill: ‘Blood Money’." The Blaze. Web. 07 Mar. 2016. <http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2013/04/25/this-painting-is-what-one-artist-thinks-of-senate-shooting-down-gun-control-bill-blood-money/>.
The image was very impactful to the article itself. It shows the corruption of the NRA while also giving the reader the information about the topic The author used this drawing because he thought it was fitting for his opinion on the subject. In the visual if you look closely it shows the date “April 17, 2013”also the word  “senator” was on the check because those were the ones that were the corrupt ones. This drawing was very useful because it shows how the people who were in control with gun laws were not being one hundred percent loyal in their positions. It is useful because it shows how the government was acting with guns and their laws to stop gun violence.

Opinion Pieces
Swinton, Jonathan. "Op-ed: Gun Access and Mental Health: We Can Do Better." The Salt Lake Tribune. N.p., 29 Jan. 2016. Web. 31 Jan. 2016.
This article really sparked my attention to this topic because a lot of people do not think about the people's state of mind or their disabilities that they might have before they did the act of violence. Also this article should be seen by many more people because they need to get someone else's point of view or just even learn that people with mental health issues can buy guns with no problem. The article shows that the most deaths at the time are by suicide and that can be from the issues of the person. This article was useful because it gave a very different point of view on the topic that is very general in itself.

Obama, Barack. "Barack Obama: Guns Are Our Shared Responsibility." The New York Times. The New York Times, 2016. Web. 07 Feb. 2016.
The article was mainly just Obama trying to shine more light on the topic so that people can get more involved with the laws of guns. He knows that this involvement can help for better laws on the subject. In his article he refers to a african-american that actually died by a gunshot and saved two girls from being shot. He appreciated him and gave him the spotlight. The reason this was useful was because this article is not only written by the president of the united states but he gives of a more human feeling and tries to get a emotion out of the reader of the article.
Winkler, Adam. "Adam Winkler." Los Angeles Times. Los Angeles Times, 11 Dec. 2015. Web. 16            Mar. 2016. <http://www.latimes.com/opinion/op-ed/la-oe-winkler-folly-of-assault-weapon-ban-          20151211-story.html>.

In this article Winkler shows that what the government is doing to stop gun violence is wrong and is not going do much help with the selling of guns and the use of them. This article has many notable details but the most notable is actually his statistics on the topic because this article was already good as it is but the stats gave it what it needed to really give the reader something to think about during and after the article. This article was very useful because not only did it show how the government is not doing enough about the topic but they also look like they aren't giving much thought to the laws they are putting out.
